"Ground Zero Culinary Combo Tour"

Located just 8 minutes from Ground Zero in the Meat Packing District, the Ground Zero Museum Workshop exhibits 100 of Gary Marlon Suson's most notable photographs from the Ground Zero Recovery, including the Ground Zero Bible Page, the Clock stopped at 10:02 AM from September 11, the "Today is 11" Calendar Page, and several Honor Guard images.

In addition to striking photographic images, you will also see:

  • Artifacts from the Recovery
  • Items worn by Recovery workers
  • Actual tools that were used for digging
  • Rare video footage from inside the World Trade
Center site displayed on large screen in surround sound

We use the word "workshop" because it is interactive by nature. You will be able pick up and hold certain items to get a greater understanding of what took place during the 9/11 Recovery. The museum also features lifelike 3-D Installations that place viewers right into the "hole" at Ground Zero.

The Ground Zero Museum Workshop is the only museum of its kind in New York. It is a beautiful place for tourists, family members, and locals alike. You will not see images like these anywhere else in the world. Each item has an eyewitness story or personal account by your tour guides, all of whom participated in the Recovery.

Then………………………………….take a quick train ride to enjoy the quiet and elegant ambiance of Giovanni's Atrium. Experience Old World Style at this classic supper-club as you taste a variety of lavishly served samples.

To begin, you'll be escorted on a 20 to 30 minute, exclusive behind the scenes tour of areas of the restaurant normally off-limits to other guests. From there you'll meet the chef and see how he, or she, prepares world-class cuisine using the freshest ingredients. Finally, meet and greet the staff and experience a private cooking demonstration.

The balance of your experience, between 2 and 2.5 hours, is spent dining on the following menus, where you choose one dish from each course:

  • Hors d’oeuvres: baked stuffed clams, stuffed mushrooms, or fried calamari, filled eggplant with ricotta, mozzarella in carozza
  • Cold Hors d'oeuvres: prosciutto and melon, or roasted mozzarella with tomatoes
  • Special Pasta: rigatoni matriciana, or cavatelli alfredo
  • Entrees: veal sorrentina, boneless breast of chicken francese, or filet of salmon
  • Dessert: cake with coffee or teaOne complimentary cocktail
